One neat thing about Hungarian culture is when you enter a home, you remove your street shoes and change to a pair of slippers usually provided by the hostess. This custom has many benifits which I like! Not only does it reduce the amount of dirt that is tracked into the home, it also provides an opportunity to leave the house with a much nicer pair of shoes than you originally wore! :) When guest come to our home they have a host of bright green slippers to chose from. Ed usually offers a bit of advice for those who are not familiar with this custom. His advice is to always select a pair of shoes from the bottom on the stack because everyone always put the dirty ones back on top! Now with all of this being said, who do you think is wearing the Crocs? By the way, a pair of Crocs at present exchange rate, will set you back about $62 USD. Ouch!
