It's SUPERBOWL time again! Somewhere along the mix of things I've heard that the Cardinals are playing the Steelers. Since we don't have a Manning or another Mississippian playing in the game, I think I'll pull for the team that Kirk Warner plays for. But which team is that? Oh well, as you can tell I'm all up-into the game and having a blast blogging while about 35 or so are downstairs watching the game!
Actually we have the big screen running and we're using this night as an outreach. Also several people are opening their homes and inviting their neighbors in to watch the game. At half time we have a 5-8 minute devo that will play on the big screen. This is a great way to reach out to those who would other wise never attend a church.... but they will come to watch the superbowl and share some fellowship and of course some wonderful Superbowl traditional foods!
This years superbowl is quite a bit different from last years superbowl. Oh what fond memories of Superbowl '08 when we were cheering Eli Manning and the New York Giants to a win! An added bonus was watching that game with fellow missionary, Mary Jill and some of our friends from Debrecen!
Well it's back downstairs to catch the score and to stroll by the food bar for some delicious Superbowl treats!
Ask of me, and I will make the nations your inheritance, the ends of the earth your possession. Psalms 2:8 (NIV)

The Man Hanging Blinds

(Left) That's Ed replacing the custom fit burgundy blinds with 2 inch plantation blinds on the french doors. The photo to the right shows the blinds on Oct 27th. (When the heat of the summer hits, we might wish for the days of those burgundy fabic blinds.)
